More Kitchen Design Decisions

The more I narrow down my own personal style (which has been quite a chore for me!), I've come to a realization. I've started noticing a pattern in things that I'm drawn to. I seem to prefer items with shapes and lines of antique or vintage items, but that are updated with contemporary finishes. Do you know what I mean? Well, let me give you an example.

In fact, a perfect example is this apron front sink from Lavello. The apron front sink is a decades-old design that was generally found in old farmhouses, which is why it's also called a farmhouse sink. But if you take that classic design and shape, but finish it in stainless steel, it fits perfectly into a contemporary kitchen. I love that!
