Have you ever lived with a mess so long that you become accustomed to it? Perhaps an ever-growing stack of papers in the corner of your home office that you've promised yourself you'll get to, but has now become a permanent fixture on the desk? Boxes that you stacked in the corner the day you moved into your new home, that you swore you would unpack the second you had a free moment, and now two years later, have taken up permanent residence in that corner?
Well, that's exactly how I am with my tiny little condo. We've been remodeling and fixing up for so long, living with unfinished projects as we scrape together money to finish them one by one (and sadly, with almost nothing finished yet), that I've become accustomed to it. I have a "to do" list a mile long, and somewhere on the list (probably around number 40 or 45) is "gorgeous window treatments".
But then yesterday happened. I was going about my normal routine, running errands, when I pulled up in my parking space, which is just outside our bedroom wind...
